Billy Butler is a Lead Modeller at Framestore in London. Most recently, Billy was part of the team that won a BAFTA and an Academy Award for the film ‘Gravity’. More specifically, Billy created the spacecraft and the spacesuit that Sandra Bullock wears in the film.
SAE graduates won 4 Grammys at the 57th Grammy Awards in 2015 and received 11 nominations. Winners included Jonathan Lee for his work on the ‘Beyonce’ album and the single ‘Drunk In Love’, and Florian Legatta for his work as engineer on the Album of the Year – ‘Morning Phase’ by Beck. Former SAE students were named on 7 Grammy nominated albums in 2015.
Florian Lagatta is a world-renowned sound engineer, having won Grammys recently for his work on the Beck ‘Morning Phase’ album and Daft Punk’s album ‘Random Access Memories’. Florian was the mix engineer on the popular Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams single ‘Get Lucky’.
Mark Paterson won an Academy Award in 2013, along with a BAFTA, a Cinema Audio Society Award and Motion Picture Sound Editing Award for his work on sound mixing for the film ‘Les Misérables”. Among his many sound mixing credits are ‘Children of Men’ (2006), ‘Sherlock Holmes’ (2009), ‘Wrath of the Titans’ (2012) and ‘The World’s End’ (2013).
