Five 2014 Bachelor of Games Development graduates are finding success on Google Play with their game ‘Bio-Gloom’. Zac Cliff, Ashley Lowcock, David McGill, Shane Rypers and Kim Ahlstrom released the game in early 2014 which has been listed on a number of popular gaming blogs and was featured in the Top 10 new Android Games in February 2014. The game has had over 30 000 downloads.



Brisbane games company Halfbrick Studios was founded in 2001 by former students and has been at the forefront of the Australian game development industry for many years. With the massive success of Fruit Ninja on iPhone and iPad, Halfbrick has become one of the most well-known indie developers in the world. Halfbrick Studios regularly hire SAE graduates in a range of positions.

Knightlight Games | SAE Institute South Africa

Having met through their studies at SAE Brisbane, 6 games and animation students have established Knightlight Games, a game development studio based in Brisbane. The team consists of Mitchell Saad, Rulesh Prasad, Emanuele Oliveri, Peter Levonpera, Michael Clark and Michael Heard. Their first release is a fun mobile game titled ‘Stompy Run’ which can be downloaded now on Google Play.
